Silver Linings and Springtime Flowers
March 2020

Story and photos by Maddie Ginn.
As we navigate global changes and shelter in place, the natural world offers a grounding reset. At CCW, our plants are waking from dormancy, reminding us of the healing power of nature. Featuring: Ceanothus 'Dark Star,' Iris douglasiana (Douglas iris), Clarkia rubicunda (farewell to spring), Salvia spathacea (hummingbird sage), and many more.
Though this is a time of uncertainty, we find solace in the simple act of growing and caring for our California native plants. The nursery continues to wake up with color and life as spring progresses, and we look forward to sharing these plants with our community.
